Q. What are the advantages of a Fee-only Investment Advisor?

A. You will get unbiased financial advise, since we do not make commission from the products we recommend Clients to invest in.

Q. Why should we pay for this advice, since most other advisors are giving us free advice?

A. It is a misconception that advisors are providing free service. Because other advisors are not billing Clients directly, it is being perceived as free. However, Clients are paying for it indirectly through commissions that advisors are receiving through products sold, be it insurance policies or mutual funds. While we do not provide any guarantee in terms of returns, in majority of the cases we are confident that our advice will result in savings or earnings much higher than the fees you pay us especially if you are new to financial planning. For Clients who are not sure about how financial planning would help them or are concerned about getting their value for money, we have our  plans staring @ INR 6,499. With this small investment, Clients can understand how a financial plan benefits them and in future with growth in income and assets how a comprehensive plan would help them.

 

Q. Why is it better to pay a fixed fee than a commission?

A. There are multiple reasons:

  1. Fixed fee may be cheaper for Clients having a high net worth

  2. Fixed fee is paid once, commission payouts for some products are done every year, so the Client is paying the advisor fees every year indirectly

  3. In fixed fee model, the Client is aware of the fees he is paying, there is nothing hidden. In the commission model, the Client may never know the cost he is paying

  4. Other than just Client fees, getting wrong product recommendation could lead to investing in assets that do not match your goals or investing in assets with low returns or high risk

 

Q. What about pricing for renewal in the second year?

A. Comprehensive Plan I renewal would be INR 5,000 + GST. For Comprehensive Plan II we would recommend renewal only if the Client situation has changed significantly. Our aim is to impart financial education along with preparing a plan so that going forward Client is in a position to manage his finances if financial situation has not changed significantly. Still if the Client would like a renewal we would be happy to provide a quote and that would be less than 50% of the 1st year fees.

Q. Can I just do a Mutual Fund portfolio review?

A. We would recommend doing a comprehensive financial plan which would also include Mutual Fund portfolio review. However, if the Client just wants a portfolio review then we would be happy to assist. You can contact us with your requirements and we would provide a fee quote.

Q. Is it necessary to visit your office

A. Most of our business and consultation will happen over regular phone calls or zoom calls. Our office is located in South Mumbai and Clients in Mumbai are welcome to visit our office.
